Medicare decisions deserve clear guidance.
Medicare is the federal health program for people 65 and older, and for some younger people with qualifying disabilities. It's delivered in parts — and understanding how those parts combine is the key to choosing coverage that fits your care and your budget.
Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
Part A covers inpatient hospital stays and skilled nursing; Part B covers doctor visits, outpatient services, and preventive care. Together they're Original Medicare. It offers broad provider choice but doesn't cover everything — most notably prescription drugs and most dental, vision, and hearing care.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Medicare Advantage plans bundle Parts A and B (and usually Part D) through a private insurer, often with extra benefits like dental, vision, and fitness. They typically use provider networks and require cost-sharing. The trade-off: more benefits and a cap on out-of-pocket costs, but less provider flexibility.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Medigap policies work alongside Original Medicare to help pay the deductibles, copays, and coinsurance that Parts A and B leave behind — in exchange for an additional premium. They offer predictable cost-sharing and broad provider access, but don't include drug coverage.
Part D prescription drug coverage
Part D plans cover prescription medications through private insurers, each with its own formulary and cost tiers. We review your current medications against each plan's formulary so the plan you choose actually fits the prescriptions you take.
Enrollment periods
Your Initial Enrollment Period surrounds turning 65. The Annual Open Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) lets you switch between Original Medicare, Advantage, and Part D. Other Special Enrollment Periods apply in specific situations. We clarify the window that applies to you.

It depends on your providers, your prescriptions, your budget, and how much cost-sharing you want to predict. We compare Original Medicare + Medigap against Medicare Advantage using your real medications and doctors — so the choice fits your care, not a sales pitch.
We provide education and, where licensed, certified, and appointed, can assist with enrollment. We'll be transparent about where we're authorized before any application — and we never push a plan you don't understand.
Advantage bundles coverage through a private insurer with networks and cost-sharing, often with extra benefits and a cap on out-of-pocket costs. Medigap supplements Original Medicare with predictable cost-sharing and broad provider access, for an additional premium. Each suits different priorities.
